I know all the solutions to solving 16g creeping but I now have supporting mods to run up to 20lbs. My question is, if I set my controller to run about 18lbs or so will it be stable at these higher boost levels or still spike like it does on low boost levels?

it should be a friend of mine is running 30psi on his evo with no problems at all

So I don't have to worry about me running 18psi then it spiking to like 26? LOL

External wastgate I think is your best answer. I would spike 30psi and hold 25. But if was running external wastegate with ported external on the hotside and a good o2 housing you should be good.

I've got an Hx35 actuator for my evoIII 16g.. jusmx141 made it for me awhile back, it helps eliminate the falling boost levels at higher rpm. you will be plenty safe spiking to 26 and falling to whatever.. mine spikes to 30 and falls to 26 by 7600, but mine is forward facing, your's will have a quicker decrease in psi with rpm. on my old setup (fp mani, 93octane) I would spike it to 35 and it would fall to 24 by 7600 (not forward facing). Some people run these with no wastegate line at all and spike them to 40+ psi and they live. make sure you've got everything to support the fuel needs, and air temp needs as well.

I'm running an external o2 dump o2 housing with a 2.75" downpipe and yes I'm using a boost controller. I've got evo 560cc injectors And I just want to run around 19lbs or so. I'm just worried about setting it there, and then it spiking to something way higher. Because when I set it at 12 or so, it always spikes up to 16 or higher at about 4800rpm.
