So lego as we know can be very creative WHEN they want to be!

WHY is it that they suck and ignore what the Eclipse actually looks like!!!
Their latest creating is nothing but an abomination to the car and design and should be redone.

What do you all think.

I think it looks decent from the rear, i do feel they could have done a lot better with the front.

It's under 900 pieces for under $0.15/PC, which is on par with a normal set not encumbered by huge licensing fees. I think they did rather well for the piece count.. any more detail would likely require more parts and bigger size, necessitating a larger cost which lessens their available market. bespoke parts also increases cost due to one-off mould production. Designing Lego that mimics real life objects in proper proportion is very difficult and there are concessions that need to be made given how everything interconnects.

There are more expensive variations with more accuracy on AliExpress, perhaps one of those will hit the spot instead

My wife picked one up for my 44th coming up, and I'm happy. I've seen behind the scenes how the sausage is made and I think it's not a bad job at all for the constraints they were under. Certainly better than many 2Gs I've seen out there on the streets LOL
