Up for sale is an 8-blade 54/83mm H1C turbocharger supercore (CHRA & cover). This quick-spooling turbo has the capability of generating 52-54 lb/min of airflow on a proper setup and will fit directly into any of the popular turbine housing sizes made for the H1C or HX35.
I recently acquired this unit as part of a package deal which included a turbine housing that was needed for another customer's turbo build. Initially I had planned to just pull the turbine to keep for parts and scrap the rest but the CHRA itself was in great shape apart from some turbine sealing ring leakage due to an undersized drain so it received a full rebuild and rebalance in-house to offer someone a low-cost alternative to their badly-blown H1C or HX35.
This is standard 54mm H1C with an unported compressor housing. The v-band on the compressor outlet has already been ground down and is ready to accept a 2.5" coupler and clamp. Compressor inlet is 4", and the drain flange accepts all popular Garrett T04 drain hardware. The thrust system has been converted to a HX thrust plate so there is no concern of a weak thrust system causing a premature failure as long as it's being oiled correctly; durability will be identical to a properly-oiled HX turbo.
Proper oil supply and drainage is crucial for the H1 center housing. This turbo must be supplied with no more than 72psi of oil pressure under load or you risk causing oil-related damage to the turbo for which I will not accept responsibility. The oil drain must be as straight as possible, have no kinks, and must not dip below the fitting on the oil pan at any point. DO NOT USE A 10AN DRAIN. Improper oil drain size will over-oil the cartridge and cause damage that is not covered by any type of warranty repair.
Being the core was basically free you're essentially paying for the rebuild and estimated shipping. The price is just $235 SHIPPED for this turbo to the lower 48 states only- I cannot ship to Canada or Internationally.
