I'm always buying blown China knockoff 16G and 20G turbochargers to use the outer housings as donors for MHI 16G's with badly-cracked housings or as upgrades.
The turbo does not need to be operational, but needs to be as complete as possible and not have any broken bolts in the turbine housing flanges. If it's a 20G I *prefer* the unit not have any thrust wear (in/out shaft movement) which often destroys the compressor housing...it doesn't matter on a 16G because the compressor housing goes to the scrap bin.
On the 16G's, I use:
- turbine housing
- actuator
- 90.8mm v-band clamp
- compressor housing snap ring
On the 20G's, I use:
- turbine housing
- compressor housing
- actuator
- 90.8mm v-band clamp
- compressor housing snap ring
The price paid is $65 for a 16G and $95 for a 20G. Price is not negotiable because there is work that needs to be put into each outer housing before it can be utilized (porting, welding, installing locating pins) and this is taken into consideration when the price point is determined. I'm also well-aware that brand new Chinese 16G's are currently $157 with an install kit, so yours that started leaking oil before the first oil change is not worth $120 to me.

Inbound shipping method doesn't matter to me but if you remove the actuator and place it in the box next to the turbo a single turbo will fit in a medium USPS flat rate box ($15) or two will fit in a large flat rate box ($20).
