Just to update this also. My spot has now come up and the billet blocks are coming in soon, these will be run along side the oem front and rear arb brackets and will be then sent to anodising. Once complete i can get them shipped out straight away.
Hardware and boxes are here for them to go straight out once back from the coaters.
Hi Bobby. These should work with any aftermarket EVO 7 8 9 rear bar including the adjustable ones as long as the appropriate bushings are used. Correct?
Just sell it once you got it all and everything, RM bars are always going to be wanted as a small upgrade option.
If you decide to got oem evo bar just keep an eye on ebay as they come up often or in the evo groups for a good price and can nab one.
If you do go bigger then oem evo just remember i do 24 and 25mm bushes only so anything bigger i cannot accomodate for.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Keep the RM until the EVO bar is on. What would you recommend? 24 or 25mm? I'm thinking 24 should be plenty for a street car. Even the stock EVO bar should be more than adequate. I do like the adjustability of aftermarket bars though.
Hey Bobby, have a technical question regarding these. I looked at your old post for these from 2019 and didn't see it asked there.
What is the reasoning for dropping the mounting location so low? I imagine that under hard cornering there is a good amount of torsion put on these bars and in effect, a pretty good load on these mounting points. does having it lower (towards the bottom sub-mount hole) help it to clear the rear lowers or is it just where the bar happens to sit?
Either way, I'm definitely in on a set and will get you a PM and PayPal sent before the due date.
Its dropped to account for the height difference for both the bend in the middle and also to make the arm sit more central through the gap for the connection to the droplink. It was a tough squeeze for upper space and i could get away with dropping it a bit more to make it work better.
If using a spare wheel well it still needs to be worked a little to stop it from fouling but i cannot go any lower really
I was more worried about it being lower and not putting the "pivoting point" in the middle of the two subframe mounting points. Was just curious about the stresses on the upper mounting subframe threads. If that makes sense?
With the 2 bolts being lowered vs oem its not going to cause any ill effect. If you look at some of the brackets they sell for evos they are semi flimsy sheet steel with holes in it so its not as weak as those. My brsckets wont be any weakness in the twisting motion on this in any way.
the ones i am using don't offer a 26mm I'm afraid just the 22, 24 and 27 sizes. those are all direct replacement sizes so will all fit the bracket since i designed it around that bush, anything else i would not be able to confirm fitment, whiteline tend to supply new brackets for the larger bushes so I'm not sure if they would fit into my brackets or not. only other option is to hold off on a 26 and maybe i can look into making some larger ARB's if all these brackets sell so people have more options for bigger bars? then i can do 24mm or 27mm bars to match the bushes I am offering? thats another way to look at it
Cnc time is estimated at 3 weeks currently as i posted this. Hopefully it does not change much or at all! Since this is a new place i will likely get a final piece made befors they run the batch as they said for new designs they tend to go over everything and so a test before they machine it all which is good for quality.
Once they are back to me though they will get boxed and likely be shipped out within 2 weeks or less since i will have all the bolts ready to and bushes to pop in and go. Longest part is the shipping labels most of the time haha
