- Background
- Found a 98 eclipse GS Manual for $1,000 but the dealer couldn't get it started. (He said it started before and passed emission.) Took the bus to Atlanta, GA to see if i could get it started and drive it home. When I got there, I immediately jumped it and cranked it over. It took about a minute. I had hard knocking that eventually went away and it was smooth (Figured it was bad gas or spark plugs). I changed the plugs, wire-set, and ignition coil, and got a new battery. Drove it home back to Gainesville, FL where I am going to daily it so I can give my Evo a break and get it cleaned up. My future plans are to do as much maintenance on it as I can while cleaning it up. I plan on gradually keeping it as OEM as possible in the interior and making it somewhat reliable. I want to get new wheels and tires and coilovers too. This will help me get the look I want while riding around. I also want to get it tinted as well. Future goals include getting it 4g63 swapped, and maybe a GSX swap too. The paint is bad on it so I think a vinyl wrap will be good for it too which will help with rust and making it look good.
