Background
I got the car in 2013 through a trade. Traded a 91 Chevy Camaro RS for it. When I got it the guy I traded with said that the clutch was going out in it but it was drivable. Turned out to actually be the output shaft from the transmission to the transfer case. The splines were stripped to the point where it looked as smooth as glass. The bell housing also had a massive chunk knocked out of it. Got that taken care of with a used trans from pull a part. I know that a junkyard is not the best place to get parts but lack of other options at the time gave me no other choice. Drove it for about a year with zero problems then all of a sudden the balance shaft belt broke destroying the timing belt with it. Luckily when it broke the head turned out to be fine. Replaced the timing belt, balance shaft belt, water pump, and the rest of the belts along with it. A few months go by without problems and it jumped time which completely destroyed the head and pistons. Recently dropped in a used 6 bolt. Got everything hooked up and ready to go then when I connected the battery the alternator fuse blew. Had the alternator tested and it was dead. Turns out that it was the original one from the factory. Also while i was at it went ahead and installed carbon fiber ceramic brake pads on the front and rear, as well as got rid of the emissions system. Have new gaskets throughout most of the engine bay, new battery, new clutch. As far as plans and goals for the car, I really just want a good reliable daily driver pushing around 400hp. Something that still works well back and forth to work as well as puts down decent times at the track.
