Ok this weekend i finally did a boost leak test. I found two leaks one at my bov, i fixed it with some silicone tape. And the second one is through the pcv valve. I replaced the valve with a new one from autozone...bad idea those leak i found out. So tomorrow iam going down to the dealer to get a oem pcv valve. I would get a lot of pressure through my valve cover, and when i would plug the hose i would not get any leaks. So is this most likely my PCV valve? My boost will go to 15psi then drop to 11 psi, I have the forced performance actuator so i cant wait to hold 15 psi to redline! I appreciate the help. :dsm:

Remove the pcv hose from the intake manifold side, plug up the nipple and repeat test. If problem solved, replace the pcv with an oem like you originally plan. If problem persists, turbo seal, rings and valve seals is where you need to look next. Is your car smoking at all?

Thanks for the quick reply oldman, I have tried the test u reccomended and it did not leak. I capped the nipple coming off of the intake manifold, repeated the test and i had no leaks. Does this tell me for sure it is the pcv valve? I took the pcv valve out and tested it by blowing air into it, and air would pass through. My car does not put out excess smoke.

ok I need help again. I just put the new oem pcv valve on, and my boost still drops from 15 psi to about 11 psi at redline. I have the forced performance actuator that should hold the boost to redline. I fixed all leaks, what can this be? Is this normal for a t25 regardless of the actuator? I need help asap. Thanks for the help.

Yes, this is very typical for a T25, dropping off at higher rpm usually to about 12psi. On a side note, how much pressure and for how long did the system hold before you decided the test was complete?

i tested the system up to about 17 psi. And the only leak i was getting was from the pcv valve. Should I assume this is normal and not worry about it? I guess the forced perfomance actuator doesnt perform right on the t25.

Yes, this is normal for T25 and no it has nothing to do with the actuator and everything to do with T25 running out of steam. Buying that actuator for a T25 is basically waste of money.
