Ok, first off, the starter is 5 months old, and the battery is about 2 weeks old. Car started fine when I left the house. Its started great ever since I put the new starter in. But, when I was trying to start the car again after stopping at the bank for 5 mins, nothing. Everything turns on, radio lights yada yada. What the hell??? I cleaned the battery terms, they're fine. Any suggestions???? Quick help would be great.

make sure the connections are tight, especially the ground wire going to the starter. make sure the wire going to the solenoid on top of the starter in clipped on and plugged into the harness under the thermostat housing.

Ok, thanks. Yea, we checked most all of the connections, cleaned the battery terms, blah blah. The clip for the wire on top of the solenoid is some what loose, but not bad. Or so I thought. It felt like it clipped on fairly well, but it didn't take much effort to get it right back off. I read on another post about people running a wire straight from the battery to the solenoid on the starter, basically "hot wiring" the car. So, we did that, and the car started. That, in theory, means that somewhere in that wire connecting to the solenoid, its not making the proper connection, correct??? We tried this again with that wire unclipped, and it would crank, but not start. But, when we clipped that wire back on the solenoid, and hot wired it again, it fired right back up. Now, I'm very electrically dumb, but how could the wire not be working when trying to start the car normally, but when its unclipped, it wont let the car start???? I know very little when it comes to electrical stuff, so I'm sorry I'm a dumbass. Again, any help or suggestions people have would be great.
