Crankwalk?!?!?!?

Today when i was driving my car.. it turned on fine..started driving everything fine.. First i reversed it out of the garage everything fine.. but then when i put in first the car didnt move.. so i went back to neutral and and pressed the clutch and came in first again.. car ran fine then(first time this is happeneing)..

Car ran fine whole time i was driving.. i stopped on lot of stop signs and nothing wrong..
but then i parked my car.. turned it off. left for school.. came back.. tried to move but the same thing happened in first gear again.. car didnt move after putting in first so i put it in neutral and put it in first again.. worked.. but i heard something that almost gaave me a heart attack... The clutch is making weird sounds wehn i press it down.. it doestn stick or anything it comes back up fine but when i press iit it sounds like there is no oil in it or something kinda makes a sound that its getting stuck on something but does not acctually sticks on the ground.. (i dunno if that made sense)


Its a 97 GSX I just got thsi car with 100K miles.. from a dealership and supposedly they put a "new clutch" in it and there was "no crankwalk" in the car..

I hoep this is not crankwalk because i am one poor high school student... help me

Could just be the master cylinder?

Did it rev out fine and just not move? It may be that it is not engaging properly and needs adjustment.

It must be crankwalk, since that's the answer to every 2G clutch/drivetrain problem

Anyway, it sounds more like a hydraulic or adjustment issue.

Check next to the clutch pedal in the next few days. If you see fluid or your carpet is wet, your master/slave clutch cylinder is done.

It could also be a simple adjustment issue. Where is your clutch engaging in every other gear?

Id bet on either one or both.

.. i am just freakin out after hearing about crankwakl..

in school right now so havent checked if the master cylinder is leaking..

I checked and there is no leakage of any kind.. and the clutch isnt makin that much noise any more.. so what might be the problem..

you dotn have this, check your slave and master cylinder and make sure there ok, never think crankwalk when you dotn knwo for sure. check rre website for crankwalk symptoms.

LoL, thank lord my crank isnt actually "walking" phew..

so its not crankwalk, i checked my master and slave cylinders htey aint broken or leakin.. the clutch feels fine but makes a squeaking noise... is it due to lack of some fluid or somethin?
