I am lookingh to run a short route this summer, and was needing some input on advantages and disadvantages. Ive been told that going to short route changes the intake volume and can hurt performance. What im wandering is lets say i cut the total length of i/c piping in half, but in return use double the diameter to account for loss in volume(just an example).I hope this makes sense:)

it really depends on the set up, its not a huge difference maybe you will spool 250-300rpm slower, but its really not much that you will notice, i wouldn't loose any sleep over it. Im using a PTE intercooler and didnt even consider the idea of a backdoor to save a extra few feet, i have always used PTE intercoolers on all my setups with conventional routing for most turbo vehicles with the exhaust towards the front of the vehicle and never really worried about it.

When your launching off a 2 step and using anti-lag spool up isnt a huge deal anyways ROFL
