I just finished my clutch swap and having problems:mad:

1st I cant get any gears

2nd I have the car on bricks. When I start the car up the wheels are spining:confused:. I have bleed the clutch and the slave and master cylinder are new. The master rod is adjusted way out. It doesnt matter where its adjusted(no difference)Any Ideas
thanks in advance

I had a similar problem but it was opposite... it ended up being the TOB, idk but that could be the problem???

you did install the throwout bearing? seems like a silly question, you said you moved the TOB with the rod removed, did you do this by hand by pushing on the fork? you should not be able to do that.
but maybe it just needs a bleed.. have someone push on the pedal while you watch and see if the fork is moving. if it isn't then you probably need to bleed it.

I think it's a 10MM bleeder screw, have someone push the clutch to the floor and crack it open, pump a few times, then floor and crack it open and closed fast, do this untill you don't see any air come out..

also is it a heavy aftermarket pressure plate? your clutch cylinder could be leaking and not providing enough pressure to push the pressure plate.

When the wheels spin, it means the clutch is not fully disengaging. Is the flywheel step in spec, did you even have it checked? Did you check the condition of your pivot ball and fork? What TOB did you use?

You should be able to move the fork by hand. You will not be able to disengage the clutch by hand, but moving it so that the TOB is away from the clutch shouldn't be a problem.

Also check your shift cables - make sure nothing is obstructing their travel. I know that doesn't say anything about the wheels spinning, but my wheels spin a small bit and I can shift fine through all my gears. It's a thought, anyhow.

Well yesterday when I had one of the wheels on it didnt spin. It only started spining when I tried to bleed the clutch. The ball and fork are brand new. I shimmed the ball. I used an oem tob. Also If the clutch system was bleed correctly then I shouldnt be able to move the slave rod of the fork by hand right?
