I just had a boost leak performed on my car by a fellow dsm mechanic, he found a leak in the blow-off valve, pcv, crank seal, and throttle body seals. I took my car to him because I had an oil leak and he found the crank seal was bad and replaced that and installed a new timing belt. I think he said the oil pump was leaking too.
The throttle body seals aren't replaced yet and neither is the oil pump seal. I drove the car home about 40 minutes. After about 30, my car started acting stupid, it started stuttering very bad in all rpm ranges, all gears, and at idle. Could this be because the TB gaskets leaking? My VC gasket blew out prior to going to the dsm mech. which he fixed also. He said he checked the crankcase by boost leak test and there was no leak in that so it's not the rings.
My ECU was sent out 3 months ago for re-chip when I had dsmlink installed. My car has not been tuned at the dyno yet. I do have heavy mods too including 264/272 cams. Any ideas?? I just changed my spark plugs (bosch) and gapped them within .028 and .030 and did 7.5mm bosch wires. The car seemed to run much better but I'm kind of thinking maybe it's an ecu issue now. I had the ISC replaced last year also. How hard can it be to find out if my ecu is acting up?
