Camshaft Angle Sensor (97 engine in 96 car)

I have a 1997 engine that I am going to be in stalling into my 1996 gst. The engine in the 96 does not have the Camshaft Angle Sensor connected to the valve cover. Is there a possible way to remove the Camshaft Angle Sensor from the valve cover and put the Camshaft Angle Sensor from the 96 engine on the 97 one?


This may sound confusing I will try to get pictures up asap.
