I am running the 90 oil filter housing and am starting to wonder if I have the oil line to my turbo piped into the right spot. I was getting between 40 and 50psi when I pulled it down for a turbo swap. Now, I get nothing. Nothing registers on the stock gauge or my mechanical Autometer. The wiring seems sound, yet I still don't have pressure. I pulled the oil feed line off of the turbo and cranked it for a min. I didn't get any oil. Yet, while it is running, it sounds fine. I am leaning toward the oil pickup gasket, but that would not explain why the pressure was fine before. I have my turbo oil line, the pressure sender and the gauge line all on the same line. I had to resize the image and now it's hard to see. But the brass tee coming out at the bottom right is the port that all three come off. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Why are you running your car without oil pressure? Unless you can verified that either the gauge or the sender is the problem, the engine shouldn't be on period, especially after your initial oil feed line test.

It only ran for a little bit, until I realized that the oil pressure gauge was not going to read. It was afterward that I tested the line.

So you have been running the 90' housing for a while now and the problem started after a turbo swap and the only thing changed is the oil feed location from the head to filter, is that right?

If you have tapped it to the bottom most hole then it's right. But regardless if you tap it into the wrong outlet you will still get oil, just unfiltered oil. So tapping into the wrong spot will not result in no oil flow.

Sounds familiar to me. My car suddenly dropped oil pressure and being the smart guy i am i ran the car like that. The car then started knocking and my dad(a mechanic/shop owner) said it has to be the oil pump. My waterpump blew and i figured it was time for the pump to go in. When we looked at the balance shaft.... it ate out the block and i needed a new motor.(Work in progress) Might wanna check that.

Yes, that is correct. Is there another way of checking to see if the pump is pumping oil other than pulling the line to the turbo? I may need to just break down and replace the oil pump, then go from there to be safe. Help please...The motor only has 400 miles on it.

VaporLock? I just remembered a freind having a problem with his coolant flow and it was due to vaporlock. I'm going to change the oil and pull the filter and see if that does anything; as soon as we have a decent day of weather that is.
