I bought my talon with them on and I cant find a manual. How do I adjust them cause my ride sucks. Anyone know what they should be set at for a nice ride?

Screw it, bouncing around is fun. It makes your neck stronger. 4 & 8 FTW!

What springs you are running will make some difference for ride quality and handling. Experiment until you find what you like.

I thought setting 4 was the softest ride? ( its still really stiff though ) I cant imagine what it would be like if I set it to the stiffest settings on the front and the rear. Actually I think I may try that out today haha!

O yea and what does FTW mean? were you trying to say WTF? I've seen that a lot and am just curious.

Whats the model number one those?

I got some with my car too...But not sure exactly what they are. Just seen the KYB stamp, didnt have time to look for anything else.

Are your cars full weight? I couldn't imagine running mine full stiff day to day. I run the rears at 8 to slow compression on launch and I accidentally forgot one night when leaving the track and I nearly damaged my spine riding home like that.

Yea full weight interior and exterior, the only reason i run stiff is because of the rims are 18s and then the tires will rub on the inside wheel wells so thats the reasoning, but nah i have gotten used to the ride and i really dont think its too bad, just kinda noisy

Full weight and then some. I'm actually set at 3 and 8 right now. I like it stiff. The ride quality doesn't bug me and the corners are much more fun.

I also have a really steep driveway. Having it set stiff means I don't have to drive so slowly to keep my exhaust from scraping.

nope man, it's simple, no need to jack it up or anything. for the fronts - find the smallest flathead screwdriver you can, and pop your hood. look at the tops of the strut shafts. there's a color coded scale from 1-4, and a white dot indicating which setting you're currently on. here's an important key: insert the flathead in the slot, PUSH DOWN, then rotate it around the the desired setting, and release the knob with the white dot centered in the new position. (if you try and rotate the knob without pushing it in, you'll mess up your struts.)

then for the rears, if you've got rims just reach through and behind your rotors and turn the knob. if you don't have rims you may have to take your rear wheels off to get to the knobs. (the knobs are located on the strut itself a few inches above the base.)

I keep mine on 4/8 most of the time, i don't mind the stiffness at all and i like how the car handles with them all the way up. but if i'm going to be driving for an extended period of time i'll normally drop them down for a smoother ride. and as someone said above, i think keeping the rears at 8 helps prevent my rear tires from coming into contact with the inner lip of my fenders.

Yea I crawl under the car for mine in the rear.

At what I estimate to be 2500 lbs or under the rear of my car doesn't even move with Eibach Sportlines and AGX's on 8. The car will literaly skip over bumps. With my swaybar settings it's seriously scary to drive on the street with the rears up that high. Even for autox'ing they're usually on 4-6.

Light and FWD help you in that department. I'm AWD with a sub enclosure. It's stiff, but certainly doesn't skip over bumps.

I almost bought a corrado G60 that had a suspension like that though. Very scary in twisties with bumps when you feel it jump a foot to one side. Non-adjustable unfortunately.

alright so I should be able to see this thing from the inside when I pop the hood. I stick in a screw driver and turn it. alright and the back no screw driver just turn.

So to have the car feel stock it's 4 and 8 or 2 and 4 depending on what AGXs it is.
I dunno what to use an example of? what rides nice stock a jetta or something? will that be how my car feels with 4 and 8 cause damn my car feels like crap

if you want it set like that, go all 1's, and on the awd there are only 4 settings in the rear I just purchased some and they are the same as the front. I run a 4/4 with the prokit and like it but 1/1 was a butter ride that i may go back to for a little while. Also, 1/1 is still 20%stiffer than oem and that is the softest on ANY agx.
