So i need mroe top end in my fwd and since im only runnning a evo 3 at 20 psi i dont see a point of a magnus or anything becase its out of my powerband. So the 1g seems just right. I know my way around an enigine but after reading all the problems there are in this how to= http://www.turbo4wd.com/Turbo4WD/LeftFrameLinks2.htm. Now i dont really trust myself to do it on my daily driver. Not to mention i dont have a drill press for the cam angle sensor. Is there any place where i can send this out and have them fix me up good to go. If not anyone know of a sheetmetal intake manifold that matches 2g ports and is an improvement over stock without having to shift above 7k or so.

A 1g head will not make your car faster. There are many ways to get more power than doing a head swap.

A 1g cas will give you random misfire and make your car run on 3 cylinders and you will have to clear the code with a datalogger everytime you drive unless you have dsmlink.

I'm not confusing anything. But yeah i thought he was trying to run a 1g cas. After rereading it, i see that he wants to drill the 1g cams to run the 2g cas.

I know a 1g head wont make my car faster, but a 1g intake mani will give me a bit more top end. Since the 2g was built more for low end torque which i dont care about since the 1 g does not sacrifice to much down low and i cant get traction anywase. A better top end would then result in slightly better 1/4 times hopefully and just more fun pulling buddies on the highway. And i dont want a 1g cas i want to drill the 1g cams to run the 2g cas.

Stock for stock the 1g will help you make more power but the head design of the 2g is better as far as the way it flows. Personally I would keep the 2g head, add some cams to get the top end power your looking for & when the time comes get that 2g head ported.

The work to power ratio is bad tho. You're going to do all that work and you won't even notice a difference. I would buy cams if you want more top end.

I plan on getting to 264 intake and 272 exhaust cams and al new springs etc on my 1g head, but if i jsut put new cams in my 2g head i will have to take off timing and everything just to have cams and still have that extremely crappy 2g intake mani. Where as if i get everythign done on the 1g head i can just swap it once and have everythign im looking for.

Ok maybe this is a better question since no one replied anything about the company part. Will anyone in the twin cities area drill the cam and plug the front hole for me that has done it before if i pay them?

Find a evo 1-3 intake manifold it is a great upgrade and will match to a 2g head and is alot easier than a 1g head swap.
