Victoria,
I bought the car ('97 AWD) with this camber kit on it, the bushings are worn and when I wiggle the wheel it moves quite a bit where the control arm connects to the strut mount (both sides) I don't know which kit this is, I've looked around but can't effectively identify it, I'm wondering if I should just buy a new kit or if someone knows which one it is if I can just get some new bushings for it?

first few pics were taken yesterday, quite dirty, today I gave it a couple shots of degreaser and took some more...

is there no info on this? I definitely think it is the ingalls kit, I'll take it out soon to make sure, if I can even get replacement bushing for it... I"ve been doing extensive research lately and come up totally dry....anyone? has nobody's camber kit bushing worn out before? I'd prefer not to have to drop $200CDN on a new kit if I could just replace the bushings, someone please info me.. I've searched and searched everywhere... the only anything I found was a very vague thread on here about worn bushing and nobody had an answer.. I'm really stuck here, I'm waiting to get a bunch of different emails I sent out back aswell, I'll post up the info I get as I get it..

well for future reference I figured out that the poly bushings in the ingalls kits are replacable, and are ~$18 each... the rubber however are not replacable.. unfortunately I checked today and mine are rubber.. I need a whole new kit.. it will definitly be replacable poly..

so I order the kit for ~$140 or whatever (my car already has an ingalls kit on it but the bushings are shot and irreplacable, cool) and to my surprise when it got here today I noticed that it only comes with 2 anchor bolts, wtf good is that, $140 is for 1 side of your car? are they serious? how about letting someone know that it's only for 1 side.. son of a b*tch, I'm so pissed off... or is ~$140 for the whole shebang and I just got screwed? I'd prefer that.. at least I wouldn't have to buy another god damn kit.. ahhh!

I know you're talking front (3577) as the back is an eccentric washer.....

If you want to be shocked even further....Ingall's does make replaceable bushings for their camber kits, both in poly or rubber. As a matter of fact I recently ordered my second set and received them about 2-3 weeks ago. Cost $29 shipped for BOTH sides.

Get them here.....
http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/

Call them to order as they're not listed on the site.

When I purchased mine back in 99 they were $250 complete shipped both sides F/R. My how prices have jumped.

For future reference...call the manufacturer if you have questions about their product, you'll be surprised what's made that isn't listed on websites.

I have already emailed ingalls, I was told straight from them that the poly bushings are replacable but the rubber are not. (and yes I'm talking about the front, should have specified)

edit: looking at lightning motorsports I don't see any bushings? I did however notice that the for $144 it says you get the hardware for both sides, which is 4 anchor bolts, no? I only got 2, and I paid $162CAN, so same thing basically.. I got them from extremepsi but through a canadian distrubutor so I didn't have to import the part myself.. it was ordered along with a whole bunch of other crap too, hopefully just a mix up and I'll get the other 2 anchor bolts, unfortunately buddy is on vacation right now.

Damn, not that I'm calling you a liar or anything...but I'm going to have to call them in the morning. It makes absolutely no sense that they would make replacement bushings for one and not the other. I would swear that the first set I purchased they asked if I used the poly or rubber bushings, and that they make replacements for both.

And yes, I use the poly bushings on mine.

you're suppose to get only two anchor bolts. the anchor bolts are used to replace the bottom or top bolt (strut to hub bolt) only. that's all you need to adjust camber. i could be mistaken. correct me if i'm wrong

We're talking about 2G's here, but if you have a 1G then you're correct

Well.........

I just got off the phone with Ingall's and you are correct (had to find out for myself), the rubber bushing setup is non-repairable nor can they be replaced with poly bushings.

I would have sworn that when I purchased my first set of replaceable bushings that they offered replacements for the rubber also, but Todd said that never was the case (design of the rubber bushing does not allow replacement).

Although one thing that Todd mentioned is that when you tighten the upper control arm to the "kit", that you DO NOT have the suspension dangling. Put a jack (or something) under the suspension so when the "attachment" point is tightened it is close to its normal operating position. This takes a lot of tension/stress out of the bushing since it's not tightened at its lowest point, but more in the middle of the motion.
