KYB AGX redesigned front strut?

has anybody heard of KYB redesigning the AGX strut for the 2G? the problem with the original front 2G strut is that the shock tower is too tal... so when you lower the car, the strut prematurely wears out and doesn't ride well. i saw an ad on dsmtrader.com for the new, redesigned struts... anybody know anything about these? i've got eibach sportlines and the 8-way rear struts, just waiting to get some front struts and a camber kit before it all goes on... but if these new, redesigned struts are shorter, then i'd be interested in holding off so i can get them.

apparently, there is a new part number for the front 2G struts. if you do a search, it'll probably come up

Here are the part numbers needed for a 2g FWD. 741042 is the redesigned shock.

741042 - Front shocks
741019 - Rear shocks
