I blew out my lower control arm bushing tryin to do some awd drift's :p but now when I went to the dealer, they said they don't sell a individual bushing, they only sell the whole control arm for like 150 bucks.

I don't really spend that sorta cash right now on this, any one know where I can find a single bushing for me control arm?

Maybe try a different dealer? You're in SoCal, so i'm sure there are more.. there are 4 just in the LA area.

Try Tallahassee Mitsubishi on line. They have lots of stuff at reasonable $$$. :thumb:

it's not the dealer, it's the company "mitsubishi" that's robbin me. As I was saying they don't sell the bushing, none of the dealers do. The only thing available is a hole new control arm with a new bushing mounted to it. So I guess I was lookin for an aftermerket bushing. But I dont want/need the whole kit, just the one bushing.

Hmm, I think I remember the Haynes manual saying it was all one piece.

Well, Glendale Mitsubishi was going to sell me a bushing for mine, so maybe they're going against corporate policy? You could always try a junkyard.

just buy the prothane or energy set and take the one you need...then when you have time ou can swap in the other side too :p

I like this idea, but the energies can give a not-so-kind ride. Remember 14.5 if you CAN get the bushing by itself you usually have to press those in which is another $20 some odd bucks last time I had it done.

Did you try to call a normal parts store? Sorta like my balljoint problem. I tried to get a new balljoint from the dealer and they only sell the whole unit, not just the ball joint.

I ended up going to advance autoparts and buying just the ball joint.

i dont know if this will help or not....on my 95 they wanted 300 for both arms cuz they were "loose" good thing i didnt have the cash at the time cuz a month later i found this and got them for free

How - exactly - did this happen?

I beleive it had sum thin to do with the lack of a front lsd. Once the car got sideways, rather than slide smoothly it started hopping in the front, I imagine one tire wasn't spinning enough to loose traction. Where the lower control arm links to the frame, it looks like a grease bomb exploded at that connection. Again this is just speculation but I think the lateral lodes I was putting on that connection along with the hopping vibration popped the bushing. That or it was already broken and I am just now noticing it.
