Well my car is almost finished I was wondering is there anyone with a similar setup and what kind of numbers and 1/4 mile times are you seeing. I am very excited and I will be hoping for 11sec times but happy to get in 12s if I can. Here is the final setup for my car please give me some input. I have 6 bolt swap with a .20 overbore, Eagle H beam forged rods, Weisco Forged 8:5:1 pistons, Arp studs, Cometic head gasket, Hks 264/272 cams, ACT lightened flywheel, ACT 2600 Clutch, Custom 3 inch turbo back catless exaust, Injen cold air intake, B&M FPR, Walboro 255 Fuel Pump, FIC 650cc injectors, Evo 3 16G turbo ported, Greddy E-01 digital boost controller, Apex Power FC EMS, Greddy FMIC, Greddy upper IC pipe with Greddy Type RS BOV, and a Kaaz Lsd. For tires i went with the falken Azenis 451s and I want to do either the Tein basic or superstreet coilover setup (depends on how much I have to spend about 2 weeks before the car rolls out). I was wondering would this set up put me into the low 12-11sec 1/4 mile time and I am hopeing to put down around 350-360 fwhp. I know that i can go with a bigger turbo but it's my first time building a car on this scale and i hear nothing but good things about this evo 3. If all goes well i'm going to run this setup for the rest of the year then at tax time next year I was thinking of going with a Garrett gt35r, external gate and a shepard racing tranny but i would like to hear from the members here. I have done some searches but can't seem to find what i am looking for so I decided to put this up.

I'd say it's a slim chance it'll see 11's. I'd guess mid-high 12's. I do see one hole in your setup though. Ditch the B&M FPR and get an Aeromotive AFPR so you can actually put you base fuel pressure where it should be.

I won't be surprized if you go out and run a 14.5 with this setup. Your tuning is key here. If you don't know what you'r doing, no bolt-on will ever get you where you want to go.

I failed to mention that it will also get a lot of dyno time before i run it. I don't know about tunning it myself so I am having the shop that's building it tune it for me.

Well then, with race gas you have enough hardware to put you in 11s. Hopefully your tuner knows what he's doing.

depends on how much boost your running, how good your suspension is, how well your tranny hold up to all the power, how well your tires are depends on if your awd or fwd, and mainly depends on your driving, but with everything you have, with race gas, and a high amount of boost Id say you could do it after a couple good runs. But it wont be easy to break 11s without everything i mentioned, to me you look more in the mid to low 12s which is still damn good. Good luck on your 11s

As for making it to the 11s. First, like a few others have said bench racing is a :nono:, I would say add a DSMLink to you arsenal of parts, do up your suspension, get slicks up front, throw some c16 in it, and dont expect to run 11s or even 12s first run, you have to get use to the car and how to clutch the new 2600 properly for optimal grip for a good 60' time. Having a local shop tune it is a good idea on your part, and set the 16G to 20 psi or so. After a few runs you should hit deep 12s.

EDIT: Check out the tech article on weight reduction. Here it is >>> http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205418

Why dont you get a different turbo? with the mods you're getting you should be well enough for a bigger turbo then a 16g...the GT235R is a good turbo for upgrade later but i think you should get something a lil bigger then 16g.

14b's have taken people into the 12s/11s, juast check out Arctic Racing. The 16G will pull him damn close to his desired time. But what you dont get is that its not just as easy as getting a bigger turbo, you need the supporting mods, Im not saying that he doesn't have a good number of them to warrent a bigger turbo, but he still needs more because with a big turbo you need to externally gate them or you will see creep but he will be doing that next season. He also mentioned that for the 07 season he will be doing a GT35r, & race tranny.
