do 1g and 2g's have different clutches, what about fwd and awd? i know they have a different flywheel (fwd vs. awd), but isn't the clutch the same

Wrong. The flywheels is what makes the difference between a 6 bolt/7bolt and AWD/FWD. There are 4 combinations there.
The clutches and pressure plates are the same for the 6 and 7 bolt but differ from AWD to FWD.

-AWD flywheels have a smaller diameter ring gear than FWD's. You'd find out as soon as you tried to start the car. On an AWD the starter would hit the FWD flywheel, and on a FWD the starter would just spin, unable to catch the teeth.
