Installed a friends TurboXS High Perf MBC, and the boost readings shoot up to 27+psi!

What could be wrong? The installation appears perfect, the hose from the compressor housing nipple is connected to the copper nipple of the boost controller, and the nipple for the wastegate solenoid is connected to the blue nipple of the boost controller. The boost gauge is hooked up correctly as well. The adjustment settings on the boost controller are turned as far clockwise as they can be, which is what the manual says to do at the beginning which I assume is to set it to stock boost. The old hose that went to the BCS has now been capped off by putting a screw in the hose itself and then using a zip tie to tighten it down, that way it isnt sucking in air through the intake just after the MAS. Could the boost controller just be bad? It obviously isnt boost spike, and the wastegate solenoid itself works absolutely fine.

Just make sure that the proper hoses are attached to the proper nipples on the BC and such... one should go to a boost signal (bov directly or bov-int.manifold hose T-in to it) and the other goes to the w/g nipple. Rip that damn bcs out with all those stupid dsm vacuum lines =) and youll be fine. Also on my mbc clockwise is what puts tension on the ball which releives more pressure to the w/g nipple which raises boost. Im not sure what you have, but most mbc's you need to turn counterclockwise to turn down boost

on my Hallman, you turn it clockwise to increase boost (more tension on the ball and spring) and counterclockwise to decrease boost (less tension on the ball and spring)

you said you have the knob turned fully clockwise, do you mean its as tight as it can get?? that means you have the boost turned al the way up.

Yeah I know it sounds wierd but it must have something to do with it being the TurboXS. I have a MBC single stage and its CCW to lower and CW to raise.

if u tighten it(make it so u cannot blow any air through it), boost will be higher, if u loosin it(where u can blow through it like a straw) it will lower boost.
