toronto,
Hey guys, does the GM MAF for the maf-t have to be a certain distance from the throttle body for it to work properly. A friend is saying it does or when you close the tb plate the air will come back and mess with youre air signals.
Any thoughts?

I guess you are talking about setting it up as a blow thru? I have mine about 8" fromthe TB, maybe a bit less. I use a Dejontool upperpipe that is set up with flanged pipe with couplers. mark

Quoted from this write-up:

Blow Through sensor placement has been discussed and still, no deffinative answere has been reached. As a rule of thumb, the sensor should be somewhere on the straight portion of your UICP, at least several inches before the bend into the throttle body.

I, however, have mine only a couple inches from the TB elbow bend and it works great. :thumb:
