Im buying an AGp RS49 with the next few days. To increase the life of the turbo and the engine Im planning on running an oil cooler like the 90 dsms have.

I understand that this requires me to install a 90 oil filter housing in place of my 7 bolt oil filter housing. I understand how to hook everything up except where to hook up the oil feed to the turbo. Right now I feed the 2g20g from the oil filter housing. With the new housing, I will lose the ability to run a line to the turbo because both ports will be used for the oil cooler.

How do you guys with oil coolers hook up aftermarket turbos. I dont want to use a feed from the head. Ideally, I would like the freshly cooled oil to be fed to the turbo. How is this done?

correct me if I'm wrong, but the 90 oil filter housing will not fit on a 7-bolt engine. you'll need the EVO oil filter housing to run an air/air oil cooler (or one of those sandwich adapters if you wanna use the stock oil filter housing)

you are correct the 6 and 7 bolt have different oil filter housings, machv and dsm motorsports sell 2g ones

Sorry about that. So if I buy a lancer oil filter housing how do I source the turbo feed?

Here is a picture of the lancer oil filter housing:

From this picture it looks like there are two available ports. One that goes to the cooler and the other that returns from the cooler... thats fine, but how do I feed the turbo with cool oil? Do lancers feed from the head or do they feed from the oil filter housing? I think that the third port on the left is for the oil pressure sending unit... someone correct me here.

Thanks for the quick replys

So what do you guys with '90 dsms? Take the feed from the head?
