are you doing both driver and passanger?

I originally was going to do both sides, but right now i dont have the proper "funds" so its going to be in the passenger side only. I ordered a power inverter jsut now so i can swap out any console or external dvd player anytime i want with no problems. Ill post more as it gets further completed

im not sure if im every going to put one in the driver side, i would probably just get a sunvisor one for that, i just wanted something completely custom for this screen. Basicall i want my car to be as close to show as possable. Someday i plan on entering some kind of car show, and custom stuff is always good. I still have to patch some spots, sand down some of the top frame, sand some of the bottom so it matches the door perfectly, and then bondo it all up. It will hopefully be done this week sometime, i will get alot done wednesday since i dont have to work. Ill post pics as i update it.

can you link a pic directly in the thread so i can see it....my school has the site blocked

my honest opinion is that if you must have a tv in a car for whatever reason...get a minivan, they have no place in a sports car, I personally wouldnt want it cluttering up my interior, or the weight it would add, however, as far as the fiberglass work....good job, I know how hard it is to get right sometimes, I'm currently modifying my stock front bumper and my stock hood, fiberglass is a PITA to work with but its worth it when its all done

Well, i see what your saying, but we both have nt's so i dont think adding a few pounds to the car will make that much of a difference. I want my car to be custom. This is something I think will make it stand out a little. Any yes, fiberglass can be a PITA to work with, but once its sanded properly and the tv is mounted with everything working, it should turn out good. Also doing work like this to my car will help me out getting a job if i decided to get one in fiberglass or auto body detailing.

i dont believe i have seen your writeup but i love that turbotimer custom mount. Suprisingly, fiberglassing is self explanitory and not very hard to do but im sure it would help having a writeup at times. I was fortunate enough to be able to get ahold of a power sander. This makes it SOO much easier to sand and change spots of fiberglass. I was able to grind down all the edges, and all the uneven sides in about 5 minutes, and re-fiberglass them. Hopefully the bondo is easy to work with also...

i'm sorry but i think that it sticks out wayyyy too much y wouldn't u just cut out a spot on the dash or if u really want to be tricky take out the passenger air back and make it so that lil flap that the air bag is under can flip open and the screen display and then have ur ps2 coming out of ur glove box just cut out the rectangle and have it there. i dunno that's just my opinion but i think it would look better then all that extra bondo sticking out over the passenger's lap. i'll stick with my indash tv/dvd i guess but i respect your creativity

i put on some of the bondo yesterday, and made some more progress. The whold thing looks really bulky, but once its in the car, it looks much better. I will post pics with it in the car once the bondo is finished.
