I was curious about this when I ran into this product:

It can be programmed to accept 1 or 3 negative input pulses before remote starting. That means if you have an existing aftermarket alarm, you can use an aux. channel output to start your vehicle!

Or if you have a factory keyless entry, hook the input into the door lock wire, select 3 pulse input & when you press the LOCK button on your factory remote 3 times in a row, the vehicle will start!

Anyone who has done this have any testimonials?

My friend installed an aftermarket alarm on my other 95 gsx and it worked great because it never had a factory alarm to begin with.

Now my other 95 gsx does, and I want to put remote start in there, that link I showed above looked interesting, but for the same price I can get an entire aftermarket alarm with remote start.

Now my question to you, how do you have the aftermarket alarm installed in conjuction with the factory one? I hear some aftermarket alarms have a disarm wire which hooks up to a car's factory alarm disarm signal, so when you unlock with the keyfob, will disarm factory alarm. Because I have heard of people who have factory and aftermarket both hooked up, but when they disarm the aftermarket and unlock the doors with the aftermarket keyfob, the factory is obviously still armed, and once the door is opened factory alarm goes off.
