I live in the east bay, and I'm looking for a place to redo my headliner. So far I have prices ranging from 180.00 to 400.00. Is this about right. Any helpful response is appreciated.

Some shop seriously wanted to redo your headliner for $400? Ship it to me I will do it for $75 INCLUDING MATERIALS! That is insane. Its not that big of a liner either. Do you have a sunroof? Check the tech articles section on this site, it shows how to do it yourself. You should be able to do it no problem because it is so easy. Not difficult at all. Last week I did my friends headliner for his Camaro. I covered it with black suade and it look awesome. Looks like something you would find in a Escalade (oh that is where I got the idea ;) )

I replaced mine with a stock one and it was no problem and I have a sunroof. I paid like 40 or something for the used headliner.

Thanks for the replies, Im going to look into doing it myself. 75.00 does'nt sound bad either ;) . No sunroof either.

One more ?. I went to the auto trim store page. I have a blk and grey ext. and a blk and grey interior. Can anyone tell me the right shade of grey for my car. Thanks for all your help. Also how many yards should I buy. Im guessing three?.

Check local fabric stores such as JoAnn fabrics. They have specific headliner material that is really good priced. Lets see in one yard there is 36 inches... 72 inches in two yards which should be large enough for the entire roof but double check measurements first. Not sure the right grey color, but is the rest of your interior black? I would personally do black headliner material which would match the rest of the interior really well. I am doing the black suade on my roof soon like we did in the Camaro. Good luck! :thumb:

i just re-did mine in black over the weekend . piece of cake. total cost was prob, 30 bucks.

Well the new headliner is drying right now. I agree putting the new headliner on is a piece of cake. However the middle tower trim pieces did'nt want to come off. These pieces are so brittle I broke them both. Glueing them back together for now till I can find new ones. Mitsu says they dont make them anymore so if anyone has a left and a right they want to sell I'll be glad to buy them. There grey in color, but I guess I could just paint them if different. Thanks to all for all your help. Im glad I did'nt pay to have it done, even with the little mishap..
