I believe it was 58mm; I should have measured before I handed the turbo over to Dean...but it looked like any other 8-blade HX40 I've seen. No "Volvo" on the turbo anywhere, by the way.

High Tech Turbo said its a 56mm compressor wheel but I thought H1c's had at largest a 54mm?

I didn't see the assy# or Kit number listed... Guessing it was an HX40W and later someone added the billet 6 blade comp and comp cover? It was sold tome as an HX40 Pro. I picked it up on some diesel truck forums for $325 shipped. Feels very tight bearing wise. I'm happy with it...

Numbers on rear housing are:

Cartridge # is a 3530521.

Has a billet 6 blade comp. 60mm minor , 83mm major.

Comp housing:
2" ID discharge
OD inlet is 4" , ID- 3.60"

At first glance, The comp housing looks physically smaller than the HX35 just had? Maybe it's just the older style inlet...

I got my hx40 off of ebay yesterday. My ASSY# 3594289 and my cust.# 3594290. The tag on the compressor says HX40W and its an 8 wheel. Other than that the seller said it came off a cummins generator, which I looked up and that partnumber has it pegged for a generator. I hope there are not too many variations cause I have not found any other information anywhere else. I hope this helps someone one day.

This should be enough to give any forced induction enthusiast a turboner, whether you're a Holset fan or not.

Brand new 60mm/86mm 7-blade billet HX40 compressor wheel. These things are cut so precisely that hardly any balance correction is necessary at all....I've seen evidence of this in prior billet Holset compressors, as well as the BatMoWheel that is currently in Dave's turbo.

Look closely and you'll see one tiny balance correction around the outer perimeter, around .5mm in total depth. That's it.

The part number on this particular wheel is 4044562 for those who are interested, but be ready to lay down some Ben Franklins at your local Cummins dealer.

TAG is normal looking with the volvo logo made in sweeden on it blue rivited on almost impossible to read the model number ill post a pic up later today any help would be awesome.
