Man i dont know what the problem is i have had to time this car like 5 times. Yea i know somthing isent right but the thing is its staying tight for like a few days then its got slack all the sudden. I have replaced the oil pump cog and the crank cog i have a new auto tensioner. The way i do the belt is i work all then tension around to the tensioner before i relase it then i crank it by hand and line up all the marks to make sure they are on and they are but a few days later i look and theres slack on the top WHAT IS THE DEAL . i really needs some suggestions im bout to burn it .

the timing belt keeps getting loose ....i already replaced the auto tensioner, oil pump sprocket and the crank sprocket ....

if you mean that you have some looseness at the top of the belt, like between the pully's after the car sits overnight then you don't have a problem at all, it's normal......start the car up and then shut it off after about a one minute run and then check the slack and it should be tight if not then you do have a problem...... :dsm:

Yep, this normal. Just make sure that the gap between the tensioner and tensioner arm is within spec or you might have to buy a new engine.
