Is this for weight saving or what?

Well, the car had been wrecked at one point. The right front corner had some damage to it that could not be fixed, and I am a very fussy person. There is a few benefits to it that I see. 1.) It should look pretty cool when its done. 2.) I will save about 20 lbs 3.) More room in the engine bay 4.) should stiffen the front end up a bit.

Im sorry but is it really worth the time and effort? LOL how are you going to bolt up your radiator, and bumper, headlights, a whole bunch of stuff for 20 lbs?

why dont u delete a few pieces of the interior...

I knew people would look at it as negative right off the bat. But in all honesty things like this are the only things I can do to drop weight right now. And it wont be hard at all to bolt stuff up. Once you see how its being done you will understand the concept

Just think of it as an opportunity to run a pretty sweet cooling setup like a v mount or maybe just a front mount turbo setup. Either way it doesn't seem worth the time and effort, however people forget that these cars are hobbies. Not a job, not your life, a hobby. I say don't worry about the negativity and build your car the way you want to, don't cut corners and enjoy your time working on it. Key word (enjoy) LOL. GL and don't forget to take plenty of pics!

EDIT: How much did all of that crap weigh by chance?

Thank you, I feel that exact way. And yes I am running a sweet turbo setup, I just have to figure it all out still. Also it weighed 37.5 lbs Roughly 12 lbs will go back on.

Excited to see how you will progress with this. Just the idea of restructuring and improving the design is a great idea.

I wonder if its possible to improve the nose heavy bias and get it closer to 50/50.

I'm interested to see how this works out, I hope u don't plan on using that square stock.

Are you mocking stuff up first then using chromemoly?

I don't. Under stand. Why. Anyone would was the idea of a tubular front. End... I honestly like the Judea I just don't have the patience or understanding of how to make that work LOL I'm looking forward to seeing the process good lucck

Actually that angle iron is just for bracing. Didnt wanna chance anything moving around. Chromoly will be in tomorrow (40 some feet of it) so it all begins very shortly.

Im painting my engine bay and your cutting yours apart, i love it. If i only had a welder haha. Cant wait to see the progression.
