Scan Software for Diagnostics (non DSM Link)

After checking the whole world, it is perfect known that almost nothing else works other than DSM Link for 4g63 Turbo.

I got a 4g63 Turbo 2G version with eeprom (e2t61674)

PCMSCAN is the only software that worked using that cheap chinese scantool of $15usd found over internet.

ALL IT CAN READ WAS THE COOLANT TEMP, AIR TEMP AND RPM

ALSO, IT CAN RESET AND CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE

IS THERE ANY STUFF THAT INSTALLING COULD ENABLE ME TO CHECK REAL TIME THE TPS, MDP, OXYGEN SENSOR, MASS AIR FLOW AND IGNITION TIMING ADVANCE???

Evoscan will do just that but it will log slower than others since you have a 95. I use it on my 98 gst and it works awesome for logging!

Thanks, but yours is the 1998 version, this means that it is OBD2 compliant, my version of ECU is not OBD2, it seems that it is mut over OBD2 with 16 socket pin, USA government was forcing the greedy companies to make universal protocols as all factories wanted to slave people with secret protocols since that time forcing people to buy a special scan tool from factory hand, and it will cost you 100 times expensive than any other scan tool.........................................

Anyway ...

I must see this engine at real time, I mean... I need to see at real time, the tps throttle position sensor, coolant ect, manifold temp mat, manifold absolute pressure mdp or map for some, mass air flow maf, front oxygen sensor and finally not very important, but I must see the actions of egr-evap-fuel pressure solenoid.

Also, how to see if it is a speed density, I need to see the ego factor! corrections and make changes if possible, I know that only dsm-link will do it!

But I will be very happy to see the engine working at real time with any other cheap scan tool

I did updated all I could and could only see the ect temperature, mat air temperature and rpm, nothing else work!

PLEASE POST HERE ALL THE TESTED SOFTWARE THAT WORKED FOR YOU IN THIS 1995 PRE-OBD2 2G.

Also I can check all dtc (diagnostic trouble code) I can see all the error code and also I can clear those trouble codes .... but monitor only is able to see cts, mat and rpm!

Can I use evoscan with ELM327 Interface USB OBD2 Auto Scanner V1.4 OBDII???

I downloaded the latest software for scantoolnet on their website and it only give me the message:

Even downgrading to a lower version it connects but does not display no data at all!!!

SCAN TOOL NET IS NOT A GOOD SOFTWARE, PCMSCAN IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS CHEAP SOFTWARE!


It seems that all the Ebay scanner cables are chinese pirated cheap quality cable! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I ordered 6 cables and all of them was fake! some cables I've paid 60usd.

BE CAREFUL WITH EBAY CABLES, IT IS ALMOST ALL FAKE AND WILL NOT WORK


BUT ......... LETS MOVE TO OTHER SOFTWARES.

Lets test other softwares now, I will post some results in a couple of minutes!

OBD-II (OBD2) Scan Tool Software and Hardware - ProScan you can download a demo version that works nice!

Evoscan does not give me the serial number and their software is very hard to install, how to install? where to get the serial number???

I can see ignition advance and everything I wanted!


EVOSCAN WORKS AND IS SIMILAR TO DSM-LINK AND ECM-LINK, BUT THE QUESTION IS, CAN I USE THIS WITH MY SCAN TOOL?
