2G Rear axle

OK so i decided to finally change my wheel baring on my car last week. now my car is awd with LSD and the axle was stuck in the baring and would not budge. i had my friend try pressing it out and i have tried everything i have seen to get it out with no luck. friend even broke the rear knuckle trying to press it out.

so i found a new knuckle pretty cheap and had to get a near rear hub as well sense he and me decided to try and but it out

got the new hub took the axle to my girlfriends dads tried getting out again almost had it out but broke the boot and grease started shooting at me.

but here is my question i bought the last rear outer joint with boot kit for 130 from raxles told me this was the last one they had and prob will have

OK but do i need to have abs this kit was the one with out abs i figure i should be good still will i be??

I think he's asking if he needs to have ABS..?

If that's the question than really its your preference if you want it or not.

As people have posted in the thread above , it is not required to have ABS on your DSM, regardless of 1g/2g.

If your ABS was working good and you want to retain it, then all what you need is the axle ABS gear ring.

This ring is located at the end of the axle,. The ring is inserted and can be removed by prying it out.

If you are able to get the axle out, just remove the gear and put it in the other one.

I will try to get a pic of it and post it here in a little bit.

If you see at the picture, you can clearly see the gear ring at the end, that's the only difference between abs and non abs.
