After the swap to my '91+ JDM motor (out of necessity) my tachometer stopped working. I've yet to discern why. Anyhow, just recently (several months after it's been running) the car will lug, lose power, and act as if it's about to die, and throw a cel at low RPM's in both 4th and 5th gear. Hasn't done it in 3rd, 2nd or 1st that I've noticed.

Anyhow, I know it only does this at low RPM's in those gears because it's only happened when I've been around 45 miles an hour in 5th, and 35 in 4th.

Whenever this happened the cel immediately went away as soon as I depressed the clutch. I've had to resort to downshifting, riding higher in the RPM range, then upshifting again to avoid this.

Any idea?

I got almost the same problem, when the car is at idle it wants to die, and the tach dont work any one knows why>?

I dont know about your tach problem but the reason your car is running funny is plugwires and plugs, change them and your problem will go away, Ive seen this same of problem on here 100 timesand my car did the same thing when I got it , its plugwires and or plugs. I would change both.
