Hi, everyone, can anybody tell me about necessity of two radiator fans for engine? should it be 2 or may be one will be quit anough???
I'm also interesting about installation of aftermarket one, if install say 14" (will it fit) with capacity about 2500 cfm it probably will be better than two stock ones?

it just after installation of v trim turbo with t3 adapter there is no really room to install second fan (AC fan)... so i thought may be there is sense in installation of one, more productive fan against two???

and can some fan be installed between radiator and fmic, if someone already installed such then which size will fit that place?

I tried running the A/C without the second fan and the performance was poor. Cooling was ok on the hwy, as expected, but any stop and go traffic at all was not tolerated.

My water temps were fine with one fan.

Plenty of people put a fan or two in front of the radiator and behind the FMIC. They wire it so it's a pusher-type. The driver's side fan is the AC fan, so without it, AC won't work very well, if at all.

it will pull air and push it out the back, the only way to wire any fan is so that air goes from the front of the car, towards the back. with respect to the radiator, its a pusher type, with respect to the front mount, its a puller type. Doesn't matter if you think your fan is pushing air or pulling air, its doing both no matter what. The point is that the air is going from the front of the car to the back, thats whats important.

Althought I'm 420A, after I installed my T3 the wastegate actuator stuck out alittle too far and the fan blades(not A/C) would hit it when spinning, so I just disconnected it. That caused the coolant temps to rise and rise when at a stop since it was supposed to kick on when the temps. reached 2XX degrees.

Be safe, find a way to make both of them work.

I took a knife to my fan blades to chop them down a bit so they would clear:p

P.S. They do also make slim fans ;)

well, i have no AC anymore. so i really dont need fan for AC, only for radiator. Does anybody installed fans between radiator and fmic? have some photos? what size of fans can fit that place???

I ran for half of a summer with only the radiator fan (passenger side) with no ill effects. Never overheated in traffic or with the A/C on. Once I began to use the A/C a bit more I decided to put a fan there just in case. I got a 10" slimline and mounted it right in front of the A/C compressor just behind the FMIC so its pushing air through the A/C condensor and radiator.
