I was thinking of doing a setup like this in my 97 GSX:

Nookcolor tablet hacked. Any android phone tablet with bluetooth
Torque app
ob2 bluetooth adapter

My question is will this setup work for a basic realtime code reader and monitor/gages... will the bluetooth obd adapter work in our vehicles?

This is the same setup that I found online done to a 3g eclipse:

Do you need to hack/crack the android tablet? Torque works just fine on my HTC Evo.

do you think i can use a tablet and ob2 bluetooth adapter to run ecmlink.so i can leave it in my dash?just like your pic i think that would be cool to have ecmlink runin in the dash.

I dont see how you could get the tablet to run ecmlink

Might be better to use a Kindle Fire HD. You can get it with a bigger screen than the Nook, plus it has a cleaner look (no funky corner thing). Plus it already runs an Android OS. Just allow third party apps, install a new launcher and override the stock Amazon one. I don't see why the OBD2 bluetooth adapter wouldn't work, a coworker uses it on his Durango and it runs great.
