found this post want to know if i can get it runnign with only 500-700 ......selling my 1990 eagle talon tsi because the timing belt slipped and bent the valves. new valves are like 2 hundred.
the car was quick when running it has the following mods
dejon charge pipe
eprom ecu
sequential bov
stage 4 unsprung track clutch just broken in
walbro 255 fuel pump
boost gauge
boost controller
all lights are blacked out
2.75 inch exhaust
white gauge cluster
back interior is stripped to the metal but still has the back seat

in all honesty you probably can get one for atound 700 .. running good .. probably not you will probably have to likely fix something whe nyou buy it or shortly after . Why not just buy the valves and fix your current car ?

How much they asking? i would just buy a new head. make sure that the pistons didnt take damage or you will be in well over 700 unless you buy used pistons. be sure to use all new rings and bearing though.

they want 1000 for the car rite now my uncle is a mechanic so i dont have to pay labor just the parts but i also have to drive about 4-5 hours to pick it upi dont have a car yet was goin to get this on and a guy scewed me over so im looking at this one

You can get it all done for around 700. I did my whole head, got a new head, valves, stems ect. Timing belt, studs n other essentials and gaskets for all under $700.

I paid $300 alone for my head.

Your forgetting about if he needs new pistons, did you replace yours?

Unless the car is cleaner than your dinner plate, i would only offer him 6-700 for the car. but thats your choice. Hell i only paid 600 for mine running, but it did have cosmetic damage.

As long as the valves didnt score up to bad or put holes in the pistons you shouldnt need to replace them, but i would figure it into your budget before you buy the car.
