Is my coil pack OK?

I've found 2 threads that discussed how to test a coilpack, but they didn't seem to be consistent with one another. They were also for the 1g coilpack, and I'm not sure if they are the same as far as testing goes. What is the correct procedure for testing a 2g turbo coilpack? I read my Chilton manual on the subject and didn't understand it, by the way.

Ok, I tried to test my coilpack correctly, according to this page: http://dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=33471&d=1088544507
and my results were around 14.37-14.70 at the secondary points (which is in spec according to my chilton manual) and 1.6 ohms at the primary points 1 and 3 and at 2 and 3. This is out of spec according to both sources, but I'm curious if I did the test correctly. I have attached a picture, is the circled part where I was supposed to test for primary resistance? Will the resistance be thrown off if I didn't disconnect the negative battery terminal, or is that just a safety precaution?

I've got stuttering issues, and I wanted to see if my coil pack is operating correctly. I will be replacing my plugs soon, and I have another thread open seeing if people think I should replace my wires. My wires have very low resistance (Sparko wires with longest wire 283 ohms) and when I check to see for arcing in the dark, I see only 3 small blue flecks intermittently, one of which is arcing with the valve cover, and the other two seem to be right at the boot that connects with the coil pack. Can you show me where it says that 1.6 ohms is within spec for the primary coils?

in the 2g manual, spec range is .5-.6 (primary) and 11500-13500.

i have stuttering/misfiring and found out my coils are out of spec.

Took my ohmmeter to the store and asked for an ignition coil. It had HIGHER resistance (2k ohms more) than the ones in my car! Does that make any sense?

I didn't buy it since it's way out of spec range. What to do next?
Pricy item so I definitely want to avoid dealer. thanks

The question I really need answered is, with those numbers, is my coil pack bad, or just not in perfect condition?

I really don't want to change it out unless I know that it is bad. Can anyone let me know for sure if it is really bad? I know that it is out of the "good" range, but I need to know if that means it is bad enough to cause issues, or simply in used condition.

Check you plugs if you have high EGT's you might have opened up the spark plugs and you car is blowing the spark out also check your timming if you coil is ok check those two nest my homeboy was haveing the same problem changed his plus and fixed everthing

I'm going to change my plugs, wires, fix a couple tiny boost leaks, and run some seafoam through it:thumb: and one of those will probably fix the issue. I just really want to know if my coilpack is bad enough to need replacement. I think I have a fairly good grasp on what the problem with stuttering may be, so I'm really just after some information on whether or not the coilpack needs replacement.

Ok, new MSD plug wires, new NGKBPR7ES's, boost leaks patched, no dice... I'm figuring I AM going to have to replace my stupid coil pack. I did a pull to see what everything was doing, and I would like to know if anyone has any input on my log. It is only to a little above 4k because the hesitation is pretty wicked and it doesn't seem as though it would be beneficial for my car. Where my o2 readings drop is where my car is hesitating.

Hey man did you figure it out yet? Have you considered a coil on plug setup since your changing the coil anyways?
