revvs it to 5000 and then dumps the clutch???

how does that make any sense? dude rev to about 3500-4300...depends on the tires and suspension...and then really agressively slip the clutch. This way your tires will squeek a little bit but not lose all traction.

I know my profile says i have a 93 tsi awd....but i also own a pretty nicely modded 96 eclipse non turbo and i mastered how to drive that thing....so go out and try it...

and when you shift....take it to redline or close to redline. With your mods I would shift at about 6300....redline is 6500 right? I forget I havent been in my non turbo for a while. Anyways if you get more mods that give you good top end power then you can run it all the way to redline.

You can take it to 7000 RPM if you want if it's a 5spd. I launch at 2.5k so I don't get any spin. My car weighs less than other N/Ts tho.
