Hey guys , I have a 92 GST which i dont want to get rid off just to get a AWD, I love it now I know I can get all the parts that i need. I already read what all is needed for the 2g's to do the the conversion, I read that it costs around 5 -7k for a 1g swap , but thats not my worry , all I need to know is any mayor complications that I might come across by doing this or and also if anyone can supply me the parts lists. I need to give all the info to my mechanic.

:dsm:

I don't mean to shoot you down, but in all honesty, it is MUCH cheaper and easier to just sell your GST, and purchase a GSX.

A million people have talked about doing this, only like 5 have suceeded. If that.

There is a member of this forum with a 2G spyder which he converted to AWD...i think if you performed a search you would at least get his user name...

IMO I think it would be honestly better for the wallet to sell your GST and get a GSX, but thats up to you...

I don't understand why people don't just take a GSX then make it into a spyder wouldn't it be much cheeper to do that?

no, its about equally hard eiher way.. spyders have alot of extra bracing because of the lack of a roof...

converting from FWD to GSX on your own will run you probably 5k and take over a month.. this is assuming you have all the cutting torche, welding, and all the fabricationg stuff you need..

if you pay someone else.. it will cost more than the car..

And, it's been talked to more than mere death. It's been through several resurrections and at least two killings by the stake-through-heart method. Yet still, it lives. Astounding.
