DSM Shops In MI?

Just wondering if there is any shops or places that sell dsm parts and know a lot about them around the detroit area? or even anyone near by that knows a lot that could help me w/some things? thnx

There is a shop in Brighton called The Tint Shop. This guy Nate owns it, and he has a 1g that runs 10s or something like that. I don't know what they all do there, but he does know quiet a bit about DSM's. He tinted my windows for me... thats all. I like to do everything myself.

there is a guy in dexter (ann arbor) his shop is called logic performance. He has alot of shit for good prices but he doesnt seem to be the most knowlegable on all of his product. There is also a shop called porter performance on the westside of the state, they sell alot of dsms and they say the work on them as well but i have no experience with em

Theres a place in MI called Modified FX in Grand Rapids. He has a 2G AWD thats runs high 11's. I talked w/ him at Martin a few weeks ago, and seems like a cool guy. They will do about any custom fab or mod work as well as parts.

Team Rip (TRE) is in Kalamazoo - transmissions.

dsmparts.com is HQ'ed in Whitmore Lake - they stock a lot of stuff or can have it shipped in.

Even slowboy, located in PA, only has some parts there, otherwise, its shipped from there big ass warehouse in FL.

Look up Club Conceptz in Wixom. Super cool guys and they know their DSMs. One of the owners has a GSX that is badass!! Last time I saw it it hadn't been to dyno for tuning yet, but he was expecting 600+hp. They do custom intercoolers, plumbing, exhaust etc. The also got a boosted WS6 thats 900+hp!!! I also know that maddsm is out on the eastside....just parts I think. There is also a shop in Novi called Godspeed and another called Talonted Motorsports. I don't know much about these two, but met the guy from Talonted and he seemed alright.

I've been there, I've seen the shelves stocked with parts, I've bought stuff there. No, it's not a huge warehouse, but they stock a lot of the common stuff and can get stuff shipped in for you if you don't want to pay shipping to your door.

Well, sorry, when I called up there, over a year ago, whoever I spoke with told me nothing was stocked there, and it had to be shipped from there warehouse. I was going to go up there and check it out, but decided not to since the person said nothing was up there.

Forgot to add, also there is a place called Porter's Performance in Plainwell, MI. He started out selling and modding mostly DSM's but now he does mods and everything on all types of cars. His shop is about 15-20 min away from the Martin Dragway. Porter's also has a dynojet 2 wheel dyno, that he brings to the track all the time. www.portersperformance.com

Also, if your just looking for parts, Lane Automotive in Watervliet has started to carry alot of parts for 4G63's, Including Comp cams, JE and Wiseco Pistons, Eagle Rods, Clevite bearings, Fidanza flywheels, cam gears, and axles, and a shit load of other things for our cars, even new Innovate Wideband kits.

About 5 minutes past the Ohio border towards Toledo is Showdown. They work pretty much exclusively on DSM's. They do damn good work and the prices wont kill you.

NEVER go to Porter's Performance. Trust me I've dealt with them personally as well as heard nothing but bad stories about them and their work.

I see a few people have mentioned Porters Performance in Plainwell/Otsego. I live 7 miles away from Porters and all their DSMs that were in the lot (about 7) are gone and there hasn't been anyone there since mid-December.

if you are just looking for parts and advise, maybe some small work, maddsm i believe is in shelby, MI or somewhere over here on the eastside, I've never been there but i heard the guy is pretty cool
