Do exhaust systems help spool time?

How much will a nice 2.5 inch or 3 inch system help in spool time (i have searched and not really found how much it helps, just people saying that it does)?
How many resonators does the thermal r&d system have and how long are they?

Im sure ill come up with more questions as you answer these.

All turbos are different, so spool time increase will vary with different turbos. There are more variables.

I dont know the stock size of the 2g piping, but if it is anything like the 1g its damn restrictive and changing to a 2.5-3.0 exhaust system will significantly increase spool time.

Boost wont make you go fast, airflow will. A larger exhaust will generally cause the turbo to spool faster and raise pressure in a shorter time, but it will also allow the motor to flow more air at a lower pressure ratio so you'll be going faster by the time you hit full boost, and full boost will come sooner.
