anybody have any good tips on cutting off my cat? pros and cons? HP gains? it seems like such a waste living in a state with no emission laws and keeping it on. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understand the question.
If you want to unbolt the cat and bolt on a test pipe which will replace it and lessen the restriction, you can do that. There are bolts and they may be a bi*** to get off but they should allow you to remove the exhaust without any cutting.

Now, my bolts on the otherhand didn't want me to do any unbolting and since I was replacing the entire exhaust system, manifold, turbo, o2 housing, downpipe and catback I went to home depot and rented an electric hand held saw for the day, purchased several metal blades for it and went to work cutting mine apart because the GS-T exhaust system goes over the rear axle and need to be seperated somehow to allow it to come off.

So, if you actually need to do some cutting I would suggest going to home depot and seeing what they offer in the daily rental of a nice hand held saw. If you just want to remove the cat then jack that car up, or find a lift, and get under there with some liquid wrench or wd40 and soak the bolts overnight. Then get a breaker bar and go to work. Many vendors offer test pipes, or you could have a local shop fabricate one.

i just mean getting rid of the cat altogether whether that means simply removing it or cutting it off or however. I know that would free up some power wouldn't it?
