I did the Keydance CEL on my 97 Eclipse RS. It spits out error codes 12, 11, 31, 55. :confused:

I know that the 12 means the battery's been disconnected and 55 is the end of the codes. Can anyone tell me what the 11 and 31 mean.

I'm pretty sure I read it right. I did it three times to make sure. The sequence was:

|-||----|-|----|||-|----|||||-||||| (where |=CEL flash)

Any help would be appreciated :dsm:

Ugh. This one has to be the worst of them all. Does nothing to affect how the car runs. I've had it for nearly 5 years now and am to the point of considering dropping the gas tank to check the lines on top of it that you can't get to through the access hatch under the back seat.

Crank position sensor. ECU needs this signal for the engine to run. It's on the back of the block above the oil filter. Get under there and check out the harness that plugs into it. You want to make sure it's not frayed or at risk of shorting out anywhere due to wear. Chances are, you might have to just replace it. GOOD NEWS: it only takes one bolt.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes. :thumb:

Thanks for your help with the codes. That really clears things up. I'll check them and see what's up...
Appreciate it! :thumb:
