cat con and spool up time

I noticed when I don't have my cat on the t25 spools smoother and fast. With the cat on it's kinda slow then hits hards all the sudden. Just wonder how different turbos respond with and with out a cat con. Would a evo 16g with out a cat spool faster then a t28 with a cat? etc.

It is all in restriction. With a better flowing exhaust, the turbo will spool faster.

Doing other things like porting the turbo, exhaust mani, and 02 housing help that too.

Just about everything affects spool, so unless you are talking about almost stock identical cars the results will vary.
