I wanted to know if anyone here is in or went through the BMW STEP Program or knows someone that did I'm planning on going after going to Lincoln Tech and wanted to know how it is.

I am almost done with Lincoln tech. I am not apart of the program but I heard its great.

You need to maintain a gpa of 3.5 or higher and like 95% attendance to be even considered for this program. That's really easy to maintain. Just go to school, half the points you will receive are from attendance.

Candidates for BMW and MINI STEP must meet or exceed the following requirements:

* Have a valid driver's license and documented proof of a driving record acceptable to BMW.
* Have completed high school or GED and post secondary automotive education level acceptable to BMW.
* Attain a minimum of a 3.2 grade point average (3.5 preferred) in technical school.
* Achieve a documented minimum of 98% attendance during their post secondary education.
* Be willing to relocate within a region making the individual marketable to enough BMW centers to justify the expense of technical training for that person.
* Accept employment at a BMW center within 30 days of graduation from STEP for a period not less than one year.
* Have the financial means to support themselves during training with BMW.
* Pass a written test (general automotive, not BMW specific).
* Pass a personal interview by a BMW STEP administrator.
* Professional work experience is strongly recommended.

I'm about to start lincoln tech on january 4 so I was debating to either go for manhattan motorcars or take the bmw step program. I wanted to have a goal in mind.
