Question for some who have done the battery relocation, did you also run a new wire from the battery straight to the alternator power? Or continue to use the two 8 gauge white wires from the fusebox to the alternator?

I have a 4 gauge from my battery directly to my alternator and no longer have the fuse inbetween the power source of the battery and alternator. Wanted to know if the alternator fuse thats in the fusebox is important to have inbetween the alternator and battery??

What I did was leave the terminals going to the alternator and fusebox and crimped a terminal onto 2g power wire and used a bolt and nut to tighten the 3 together.

Ran the 2g wire to the trunk and out a 200amp breaker in line. Used 2g ground wire and have it grounded at the hole where the spare tire mount went.
