ACL bearings

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Most of the sponsors do but are out of stock. After everyone found out about Clevite being junk they bought ACLs. Slowboy is supposed to get some in this week is what they told me. I would give them a call.---Jon

Thats why Im looking for ACL's too. I just had a hell of a experience with Cleivite.

I assuming we're talking rod bearings here since Clevite mains are still desirable. As stated most builders have switched to ACL or some alternative that's a non-aluminum bearing.

We carry Engine Pro also which is a private label for a buying group, made by ACL.

We have the 6 bolt rod bearings in stock in most sizes.

If you're refering to the split thrust main bearings in the late 99 Eclipse turbo, or EVO VIII etc. blocks, they still do not have them available. King bearings is also making this split thrust, but doesn't have anything in standard size at this time. Thrust washers are available in Topline currently and will work with any of the main bearing kits.

Give us a ring and we'll set you up!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Arn't the old Clevitte rod bearing Part # CB 1199 P non-aluminum, and still worth using (if you can soemhow find them).

That's not a number I recognize as a DSM number.

The Main Bearing is MS-2076P and the Rod bearings were CB-1120P (now 1120AL to denote Aluminum).

If you could find the 1120P's sure that's the good set of bearings but they've stopped making them, about a year ago now.

Wow, I shouldn't be allowed to come on her at 5am. I did mean the 1120P's. I don't knwo where I got that #. I was looking dirrectly at the box.

You can still find them, I bought mine for $13 a set, NIB.

Sorry to go off post topic but is there an article somewhere that explains what happened to the Clevite bearings. I just put them in my car and am curious why they might be defective and if is gonna harm my car.
