I changed out the stock engine on my car due to crankwalk and went with a JDM engine.

Well before the change, the A/C worked fine. Now that the new engine is in there, it's not working. The button lights up in the car, i know, not much of an indicator.

I've come to the conclusion that it must be an electrical issue.

Now i hooked up a voltage meter to the A/C fan on the radiator and it wasn't giving off much power, not sure if thats due to it not being on.

When the engine was replaced, all orignal componets of the A/C were kept so we wouldn't have to recharge it.

You have to see if you have 12 volts to the ac clutch coil with ac engaged. If you do, then you need to check and verify your ground. If both are ok, then it's the clutch coil. If you lost 12 volts, check your pressure switches to make sure they are plugged in and receiving 12 volts. Use a jumper and manually engage the clutch coil to see if it works. If it does, then trace it back with a test light. Somewhere there's a bad connection. At least I hope.

Good Luck

Where is this ground at? The ac clutch coil is the plug next to the firewall on the driver side, correct?

Where are the pressure switches and how do i manualy engage the clutch coil?

Just a quick question... when you say the A/C isn't working, do you mean there's no cold air, or that no air is blowing out of the vents at all?

Sorry, yeah let me clarify.

The AC is not engaging. The blower fan works fine, the vents work fine, the AC button works fine, the AC is not engaging.

The piping for the AC is not getting cold.

I hope that cleared it up.
