Just wanted to ask the communit on what I should do, I want to part out my 97 gst I've been getting no bites on buying the car whole, I have a 6 bolt engine with the cyclone intake on it and wondering how much I could sell it for? I would include the turbo and intake and greddy blow off valve the engine needs new vale stem seals which is only $40. Besides that how much should I sell for?

I forgot to say the engine has under 40k miles.
 
List some details about the 6bolt. What have you done to it? Is it a 6 bolt long block? or short block with 2g head?

A stock part-out isn't going to net you very much.

I'm trying to sell the car whole for $4500,I bought the car with a 6 bolt engine in it the guy that I bought it from says the 6 bolt engine was ordered from japan, my picture on my profile is the engine bay, the engine needs new valve stem seals, the turbo is in good condition no shaft play there is no mods done to the engine as far as I know. It has the cyclone turbo intercooler and spark plug coil pack.

Bottom line is I want to get rid of the car and get the most of my money for it...

What would come with the engine if i sold it
spark plug coil pack and wires
alternator
waterpump
all pulleys and belts
injen intake
greddy blow off
exuast manifold
crank sensor
14b turbo in good shape
These parts would be coming from a 97 GST

what do you have it priced for now? how's the condition of the overall car?

The car sat all winter i am told it needs new valve stem seals, i can smell oil from the exhaust.
 
So bascially a stock car, blue book value valve stems, a head job maybe, so i would say the blue book value or around 4000 since it needs valve stems.

Otherwise, you're gonna be looking at 3-3.5K depending on how you sell it to the person.

I bought my first 2 GSX's for around 3800-4K each with blown turbos and 130K on the motors.
But they are extremely rare around Iowa anymore. Everyone junked um and parted them out to the coasts.

GST's are a lot less desirable around here... but are still of some value

Now if we were talking N/A.. I'd throw 1-2K as an offer just about no matter what.

well ill guess ill drop the price down to 4k... i have it at 4.5k
 
Good luck bud.
Find a buyer with some basic DSM knowledge under their belt, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Post it up on here too... and other car forums.
Someone will bite on a 6bolt swap, trust me.
